Many of the projects are in Africa. I have been donating money to Trees For The Future for three years. They put trees in the ground for about 10 cents per tree, due mainly to low administration costs. On my blog, I have due diligence resources, and they check out as a four star (highest obtainable) for a charity.

Boycotting Chinese goods isn't too difficult, except when it comes to electronics. Many of the components are made in China, regardless of brand, so I accept this when it comes to electronics. Clothing is a bit tricky as well. Many of my former brands, are now made in China, like Eco and Clark shoes...so i just check where they are made and don't buy brand anymore.

With the planet loosing forests equivalent in size to the country of Greece, each year, I feel it is our responsibility to stop this practice and reforest the planet for the benefit of everybody. I see increasing weather pattern instability, and a host of other problems unless we start putting trees in the ground now.
